Thoughts on Harrison Butker:
Remember when OUR Moms stayed home? When one income was enough to support a family? When you had nearly five years to have Mom all to yourself before heading off to school and coming home to find her waiting for you again, the house as clean and tidy as if an army of Merry Maids had been there? Remember those breakfasts and dinners made from scratch? No Pop-Tarts or oven ready pizzas or McDonald's drive thru's for a quick dinner. Nope, they weren't invented. They weren't needed!! There was no Day-Care shortage because the Mom's of America WERE the day-care. I remember Pontiac. The men went off to the plant, or in my Dad's case, school, and made the living. Nobody lived in mansions, but, I'd even have to say homes built BETTER than what they're putting up today. Economics have changed. For many, it takes two incomes to buy what our parents bought back in the fifties and sixties on one income. Unfortunate, because I know if people could, more would chose to stay at home to be homemakers if they could. So, Butker is not wrong. Times have just changed and the better ways are just out of reach for most.

How many people live in your little burg? 8.4 million people live in New York City, and many more work or visit there. Let me explain this to you. A highly populated city will have more crime cases than many small towns and still be statistically safer. Your far right f**e news magnifies any crime committed, (especially by a minority or immigrant) by making that crime the lead story and repeating it ad nauseum. Thus right-wingers have a distorted perception about the safety of New York City.

Note: NYC is still a wonderful city. If you're afraid to go there, don't blame the city. It's your narrow mind that is keeping you from enjoying one of the great cities of the world.
Let me tell you the story of when I walked through Harlem to go to Sylvia's Restaurant. I was walking down 126 St., near Malcolm X Blvd and a young man walking in the other direction said, "Good Afternoon Sir".
I know that would be terrifying to you New York Phobics but I just said Good Afternoon and nothing bad happened.
Then I had some great soul food for lunch and went home.

I totally agree with your comments. I used to love to go to Times Square and take photos, but no longer. F**e news tells us that there is no crime in NYC, that the economy is great and that the borders are closed....... Every day I turn on NY AM radio and someone is getting stabbed or sucker punched or beat up for no reason or handbags and cell phones are being stolen etc. Criminals in NYC are immediately released back onto the streets.

NOPE until the Democrat government cleans up crime, I will not go to Times Square to take photos.
