Stress and anxiety can be as hard as depression Polly, and can make physical illness worse or even cause it, probably don't have to tell anyone that. Once you realize it though, and try to tweak how you think, it can be a game changer. So easy to get stuck and play over the intrusive thoughts that are negative, it almost becomes habit as a coping skill...I had to learn this myself. The brain is a tricky! Have you considered cognitive therapy as a way to help? I too want to see you have happier days. Hugs

Thank you I usually feel,I can handle the mess but wish I didn’t have to. Expressing it is good for me because I keeps me from over thinking things. I’m reading a book called 10% Happier by Dan Harris where he discusses similar to what you have said. I have people I chat with and a philosophy that keeps me afloat. I still gripe but I keep on truckin.

Good morning all from a sunny/cloudy Norfolk, still chilly at 5C but the wind isn't so bad today. Will get on with my knitting this afternoon and that's about it. Have as good a day as you can. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 7:01 am EDT and 9'c (48'f). It is cloudy with scattered showers but sun is expected this afternoon.
Gas/petrol prices have gone up. They are blaming the switch to summer gases which are more expensive to produce. The prices have gone up 14cents per litre in Toronto, but have only gone up 5cents per litre around here, except for the highway station which has gone up the same amount as Toronto. The fuel critic says the price will only be going down 4cents over the next week and expect $2 CAD per litre by mid-summer. The government wants us to get rid of our gas powered cars and buy electric (whose batteries catch fire easily, have no range at all in a Canadian winter, and the production of those batteries are harder on the environment than gas production) I'd buy a hybrid, if I could find one I could afford, but I'm not going full electric.
Alarms were being tested yesterday at headquarters. The head of facilities had asked if you could work at home, please do it. But management of our division said, no, work in a different location instead, or come in on Friday. So my team was scattered or will be in tomorrow with me. They really want to count noses. It's a paranoia thing. Stupid, because we have all kinds of reports on what we are doing.
The outside critters have been eating at record levels so on Saturday I have to go to the farm to replace the sunflowers and one of the mixed bags. We are only feeding them in the morning now. There are lots of greens for the vegetable eaters, and the bugs are STARTING to appear now. The grass is really greening up from all the rain.
Knit Night tonight. I decided yesterday to start another project because the fair isle socks, although close to first one done, were hurting my eyes. So I started a brioche project that I can knit a few rows without looking, and give my eyes a break.

I was happy for a minute then I got home and the heater wasn’t working nor the air conditioner. I called and they said bring it back tomorrow. Then I got a photo from the man who uses my garage. There is a board came off the garage roof. He can’t get the key to the garage to work and we took ours to him it didn’t work either. He will replace it. Then we went to go to get gas and a motor symbol came on the dashboard. I got so scared I drove right home not shopping at bj. I can’t get one job done but another pops up. So discouraged. Well tomorrow it may be corrected. I hope.

Car problems affect everything we do unless there is really good transit that we can use. I can go to Cobourg the next town 6 km away, but I can't go anywhere else without a car, and definitely can't get to work.
Find you car manual and read what those symbols mean. I had one that came on regularly, but I found out it was a reminder to get an oil change. Thanks, not helpful!

I’ve had a busy day. Cassie came at 8.45am for me and she’s been good today, bless her. She thinks her partner might be out of work at the weekend, so that will mean no money coming in, it’s a worry. I went into Karen’s for a chocolate and left her to it. Andrew went down to the beach with Brie.its not just cold here, it’s freezing cold. We are getting same weather as last year where we live. Snow is forecast for the weekend.

One of the carers who went to Wendy’s I knew of her. Her mother in law, Sheila used to run that little bingo on a Tuesday afternoon before she died. Can you remember the carry on wee had with that. Hahaha…guaranteed two hours of giggle. And all for $1 a line and $2 full board. Hahaha. Oh they were the days. It’s a small world. 🌎

When I left Wendy’s I called at Asda for a couple of things as I’m running low, and Karen wanted a bottle of ribena. I had two bags of stuff, so when I eventually got home 🏡 I gave Andrew a ring and he came for his drink and carried my bags into the kitchen for me. I’d be lost without Karen, Andrew, Margret and John. I’ve very good neighbours and friends. I’m a bit off balance today, it’s the thought of shopping 🛍️ haha. Doubt I won’t get Stephen shopping this weekend, he’s not due home until late Saturday night. His body clock will be way out because there’s eight hours difference, he may want to sleep after. 16hr flight. He’s crazy if he goes into work on Monday, but he IS stupid, but his dad was, work used to come first in this house 🏠 better than being lazy I suppose.

I’ve treated myself to some Cadbury dark ice cream lolly’s. I’m going to have one now, and catch up on here. I hope I don’t lose this message. Stay safe, luv yawl, look out for each other. Try to stay calm and find your inner soul….love yawl.

My neighbours manage on 1 income, but I don't know how they do it. They have 4 children. I know plenty of people who have multiple incomes and still can't make ends meet. Good luck to Cassie.
You do have great neighbours.
Your message remained
Love you back Susan

Another sunny but chilly morning. Beautiful blue sky! I've been working in the garden, it was ignored for almost 4 years and I'm bringing it back to life. So surprising to see things I'd thought I'd lost coming back! As I work, ideas start popping into my head on what to plant and small changes to make. DH and I did everything together and I miss him, it takes much more time and energy for me to do it myself... but I have a vision on how I'd like to make it mine. Doing more veggies this year. A small new area I had dug up by a back hoe last year will be planted with all different types of sunflowers until I can amend the soil properly.
Max and I are off for our walk now.. have a good Wednesday sisters. xoxo

I love working in the gardens.
We are going to clean out the big pots at the end of the raised gardens because the squirrels decimate anything that is planted in there.
We're going to be planting more hot weather veggies as they did well last year. And this year is supposed to be warm again.

The mechanic found there was a loose valve and now we have heat he said he might have accidentally touched it or it may have been like that. I think the dealer did it when they were replacing the electric wires. Don’t know He checked the symbol and no problem was indicated. I am overdue on changing the oil but he said it’s ok til the 29th when he can do it. Now the air conditioner isn’t working but he will look into it on the 29th. Got home and the kitchen light isn’t on. Needs new bulb. son will do it tomorrow. I have a small heater 7 inches square. Love it. Well tonight it made a medicine like smell and blew cold air. Then hot air. Then the propeller inside was slowing and air was cold so I unplugged it. Don’t know why I’m having these issues. Darn. If I don’t get the car back my friend was going to pick me up and we were meeting another lady for dinner at a Mexican restaurant. I like the atmosphere. They have paintings of ladies in full skirts and men in sombreros. Colorful and pretty. Food was very good and priced decent. I got a vegetarian item with peppers onion mushrooms rice fried beans guacamole sour cream and flat circle bread. Friend said she will order it next time. Split chocolate cake with son. I don’t have a manual they put it on line and it didn’t show any meaning for the symbol. Probably want us to go to dealer for the work. I will never go to that dealer. My friend said a guy she knows had them keep his car quite a while and not do a good repair. He said he won’t go back either. Have appointmemt with therapist for my legs tomorrow.

I need a good knitting project. Always feel better when I’m knitting. I can do crochet stitches but can’t follow the patterns.

Good morning all from a cloudy and windy Norfolk, we seem to be stuck with this cold wind. Not a lot planned for the day, slow pot roast of brisket in the oven so that will last us a few days. Finished the back of my knitting and started the first front, will get on with that this afternoon. Have a peaceful day if you can. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 5:56 am EDT and 5'C (41'F). We have rain again. The current weather system is "stuck" in an omega block and can't advance. (It's not snow!) All the ditches and rivers are full of water.
Knit Night was full last night with lots of chatter. The number of "Emotional Support Chickens" are growing. The latest one even has a pom pom on its head. I worked on the 2nd pair of socks for DD (and got it wrong) but I fixed it last night so I don't have "Frogging Friday" today. I had to buy some more of the contrast yarn for the toe, and the owner of the LYS said I think this is the smallest purchase you've ever had here. $2 CAD. I know how to find a deal.
Today it is going to be busy at work as all the people displaced by the alarm testing will be in today. If it is too bad, I can always go to the alternate location. I'm not bringing a lunch. I'm hoping to buy some sushi for lunch and both locations have sushi restaurants across the street. I noticed the last time that I was in the building that they have the Tim Horton's sign uncovered, so here's hoping we get that back and don't have to pay $13 CAD for a 1/2 cup of cold coffee from the vending machine. I don't care one way or the other because I bring my own tea. I used to bring my own kettle too, but now I just bring the hot water in Contigos.
I"m taking DD's 2nd pair of socks (well the first of that pair) to work. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find someplace where I can knit. I've been told I can't knit at my desk. "It's not professional"
