I am trying to distract myself so I thought I would try and do this post on Trendy. I have seen him several times since our first meeting and he has been shy. He has moved to a different area, and on my way back at the end of the month, I spotted him. As said in the first post, I didn't realize it was him as his tail was hidden. He seemed happier, accepted my peanuts, and was willing to work with me. He gave me quite a lot as he was indecisive about what to do with one nut! The next day, I spotted him in the surrounding area, and he posed a bit more. Glad to see him happier!
Since my accident, I haven't been able to get over to his area, so I am hoping he's OK. After my failure with the walk-in clinic, I drove to see my guys, sat with them, and put some nuts out for them. A few brave ones came pretty close to get their peanut, so it was good therapy for me. Unfortunately, the camera lens won't go past 200, so it clearly was broken. The other lens appears fine.
So, I just wanted to share some of these as there's a bit of pride when he trusts me enough to model!
I hope you enjoy. Editing may not be perfect as I'm not so great right now!
Really nice, Barb! Poor Trendy, I wonder if he will ever have a normal tail?

Thanks, appreciate that. I suspect his tail may always be that way! His coat looks good so that's encouraging.

I can't help but wonder if those who tie flies picked his tail apart little by little.

They would have to catch him first!
Glad Trendy is good for you as you are for him.
This is a handsome fellow and you have gotten some fine images of him. It can be easy to form an attachment, especially when we give them a name.
Love the images of Trendy Barb. Sorry about your lens but your health is much more important! Did you finally go to a hospital? You really need to be checked out by a professional.
